Listed below are program descriptions, locations, and phone numbers. As you explore the Magnet program offerings, keep in mind that academics are always the primary focus on all HISD campuses. You may apply to as many programs as you like.Test Requirements
Some high-school Magnet programs require testing. Parents should submit an application, call the school, and schedule a test before January 14, 2004, if applying to Engineering at Washington, Health Professions at DeBakey High School, or Foreign Language at Bellaire. Testing may be required for Carnegie Vanguard High School. Both Kashmere's Music and Fine Arts Academy and the High School for Performing and Visual Arts require an audition that will be scheduled by the school after the application has been received.
